About Us

Quikthinking Software was founded by Kingsley H. Smith in 1989. He is the author of the books People in Black History - Famous African Americans - Collector's Edition and Powerhouse Radio: Rough Roads, Radiance, and Rebirth, My True AM - FM - Satellite and Streaming Journey. Kingsley also founded the classic soul website Powerhouse Radio.

He blogged here at Quikthinking.com in the past using his middle name Hugh. Our first software product, Quikthinking Zip Codes, was released in 1993 (now ZipCodeFinderUSA.com). In 1998, we released Empower Encyclopedia CD-ROM, which has morphed into BlackHistoryPeople.com. Here's more about our app timeline:
